親和する風景。日本におけるモノと空間の関わり方は、調和を重んじ、環境を引き立てるその関係の構築に集約されている。四季を眺めるための水平思考や、素材の生かし方と閉じ方、それらは自然と共存していくことの難しさや畏怖をも伝えるためにできた、メッセージとしての日本の独特な文化の自然観である。今一度この自然観に着目し、環境と関わり合いの中で、自らの行動や所作も風景の一部となるモノの在り方を、「LookintoNature」という言葉によせて、「親和する風景」を提案する。HarmonizingLandscapeInJapanhowtorelatewiththingsandspacesareaggregatedinconstructionoftheirrelationshipssuchasrespectingtheirharmonyandenhancingtheenvironment.LateralthinkingtolookatfourseasonsandhowtoutilizematerialsareJapaneseviewofnaturecomingfromitsuniquecultureinordertoconveythedifficultyandaweofcoexistingwithnature.Payingattentiontothisviewofnatureonceagain,weproposethewayhowthingsshouldexistinlandscapewhereouractionsandbehaviorsbecomepartofit,bypresenting'HarmonizingLandscape'asapartof'LookintoNature'.05

2019年のMilanoDesignWeekへ初出展の際に、弊社のブースに立ち寄ったMichael氏がブランドの理念に興味を抱き、後日直接オファーを頂いたことからコラボレーションがスタート。コロナ禍の中オンライン主体の打ち合わせは困難もありましたが、細かなコミュニケーションを重ね、Michael氏の思い描く新しいプロダクトが完成。美しいラインを描くSAKYU、美しさと機能性を兼ね備えたKOZUE、い草の新しい表現に、KAZEなど、ヨーロッパのハイブランドから多くの画期的なプロダクトを生み出してきたMichael氏ならではの”い草”の解釈をご堪能下さい。ThecollaborationwithMichaelGeldmakerwasstartedfromaproposaldirectlyfromhimrightafterMilanoDesignWeek2019.ItwasourfirstexhibitionatMDW,andhestoppedbyourstandandgotinterestedinourbrandconcept.EvenwiththedifficultconditionshavingmainlyonlinemeetingsduetoCovid-19crisis,werepeateddetailedcommunicationpatientlyovermonths,andfinallythenewproductsthatheenvisionedhadbeencompleted.SAKYUdrawsbeautifullines.KOZUEiscombinedwithbeautyandfunctionality.NAGIandKAZEchallengesthenewexpressionofigusa.PleaseenjoyinterpretationsofigusabyMr.MichaelGeldmakerwhodesignvariousepoch-makingproductsforEuropeanhigh-endbrands.ProductDesigner/MichaelGeldmacher2000年にドイツミュンヘンにて、NeulandIndustriedesignを設立し、すぐに家具デザインの分野で頭角を現し、ドイツのトップ50のデザインオフィスに選出されるなど、有名なデザインスタジオの一つとなりました。2015年に独立後、過去15年間においてMDFItalia、Kristalia、Magis、Swarovskiなど国際的な有名ブランドとコラボレーション。受賞歴に、ELLEDECODESIGNAWARD、TheWallpaperDesignAwards、theIFDesignAwardなど。Inthe2000MichaelfoundedNeulandIndustriedesignthatquicklybecameawellrenownednameinthefieldoffurnituredesigninMunich.NeulandIndustriedesignwaselectedtothetop50designofficesofGermanyandtheirworkhasbeenpublishedinnumerably.After15yearsinNeulandIndustriedesign,nowMichaeliscontinuinghisprofessionaljourneyalonestillworkinginfurnituredesign.ClientsheworkedforoverthelastdecadeareMDFItalia,Kristalia,Magis,Swarovskietc.HisworkwonnumerousawardssuchastheElleDecodesignAward,theWallpaperDesignAward,theIFDesignAwardandmanymore.10
